Become a sound scientist! Welcome to Audio Engineers Jr. Camp, where students discover the fascinating world of sound, recording, and music production. This hands-on week transforms curious minds into audio engineers as campers explore how sound works and learn to create and manipulate it like the pros.

Campers will unlock the science of sound through exciting experiments—visualizing sound waves with water and drums, understanding how pitch and rhythm function, and even building their own simple instruments. Students then dive into the digital realm, creating beats and loops in GarageBand, experimenting with sound effects, and discovering how audio technology brings music to life.

From there, the magic continues with an introduction to recording techniques and effects like reverb, EQ, and filtering. Campers will learn about microphones and how to capture the perfect sound, gaining real-world skills used by professional audio engineers every day.

This camp is perfect for curious minds who love both music and technology, offering a unique blend of creativity and science!

Create loops, layer sounds, and produce original beats

1:45pm - Sound Effects & Audio Processing
Experiment with reverb, EQ, filtering, and other effects

Share creations and celebrate discoveries

3:00pm - Dismissal

Cancellation/Changes Policy
Written notice to Joann at info@oakparkmusic.com required for all cancellations/changes.

• Changes: $25 fee

• Cancel 2+ weeks before: Refund minus $50

• Cancel 1-2 weeks before: Credit minus $50

• Cancel under 1 week: No refund; transfer to another camper allowed with written notice.
