Ready to rock? Welcome to Band Together Camp, where musicians come together to experience the thrill of playing in a real rock/pop band. Perfect for students who already play an instrument and newcomers alike, this high-energy week gives everyone the chance to explore multiple instruments while creating authentic band performances.

Campers will learn the basics of guitar, drums, and piano through exciting "instrument rotations," discovering how each instrument contributes to the band's sound. Students can deepen skills on their own instrument or dive into learning something completely new. Vocalists will explore what it takes to be a lead singer, while everyone learns essential song structure and form.

Beyond technical skills, campers develop stage presence and discover the magic of collaboration—learning to listen, lock in with the rhythm section, and create something greater than the sum of its parts. This is where individual musicianship transforms into the electric energy of a live band.

The week builds toward an epic Friday Showcase where bands take the stage and perform rock/pop hits, showing off their new skills and the power of making music together!

Sample Day Schedule

Full Day (8:30am-3pm)

9:00am - Warm-up & Band Jam
Get energized playing together as a group

9:30am - Instrument Rotation #1
Learn basics of guitar, drums, or piano in small groups

10:30am - Break & Snack

10:45am - Instrument Rotation #2
Explore a second instrument and build versatility

11:30am - Song Structure & Lead Vocals
Understand how songs are built and explore lead singing technique

12:00pm - Lunch Break

12:45pm - Full Band Rehearsal
Put it all together—play your chosen instrument in the band

1:45pm - Stage Presence & Performance Skills
Learn to command the stage like a rock star

2:15pm - Reflection & Jam
Freestyle playing and share highlights

3:00pm - Dismissal

Cancellation/Changes Policy
Written notice to Joann at info@oakparkmusic.com required for all cancellations/changes.

• Changes: $25 fee

• Cancel 2+ weeks before: Refund minus $50

• Cancel 1-2 weeks before: Credit minus $50

• Cancel under 1 week: No refund; transfer to another camper allowed with written notice.
