Travel the globe through music! Welcome to World of Music Camp, where students embark on a musical journey across continents, discovering the rich sounds, rhythms, and traditions that make our world so vibrant. This culturally immersive week takes campers from one region to another, exploring how music connects us all.

Each day focuses on a different part of the world as campers explore traditional instruments, learn authentic songs and rhythms, and discover the stories behind the music. Students will try new instruments from Africa, Asia, and Latin America, Europe, and beyond, experiencing firsthand how diverse cultures express themselves through sound.

The adventure extends beyond music with hands-on crafts inspired by each region and delicious snacks that offer a taste of different cultures. Through cultural exchange activities and special guest presentations, campers gain a deeper appreciation for the traditions and people behind the music they're exploring.

This camp celebrates our diverse world while showing how music is a universal language that brings people together!

Full Day (8:30am-3pm)

9:00am - Musical Journey Begins
Introduction to the day's featured region through song and movement

9:30am - Instrument Exploration
Discover and play traditional instruments from the region

10:30am - Break & Snack from the Region

10:45am - Songs & Rhythms
Learn authentic music and explore cultural context

11:30am - Cultural Craft Activity
Create art inspired by the region's traditions

12:00pm - Lunch Break

12:45pm - Special Guest or Cultural Exchange
Meet guest artists or dive deeper into cultural traditions

1:30pm - Ensemble Music-Making
Combine instruments and voices to create world music together

2:15pm - Reflection & Sharing
Celebrate what we've learned and preview tomorrow's destination

3:00pm - Dismissal

Cancellation/Changes Policy
Written notice to Joann at info@oakparkmusic.com required for all cancellations/changes.

• Changes: $25 fee

• Cancel 2+ weeks before: Refund minus $50

• Cancel 1-2 weeks before: Credit minus $50

• Cancel under 1 week: No refund; transfer to another camper allowed with written notice.
