Oak Park School of Music is proud to partner with St. Luke to offer three exciting summer camp options this year!

Sign your K-8th student up for half day or full day camps during the weeks of 6/10, 6/24, and 7/8. Read our camp descriptions below!

Please note that each week of camp must be purchased separately, but up to three campers from the same family can be registered per week.

  • 6/10-6/14: JAZZ + POP (PM)
    How do you write a pop song? Which chords are most used in popular music? What does it mean to write a song or improvise? If you're interested in exploring these questions, join Ms. Emily as she takes you on a journey of jazz and popular music, from Frank Sinatra to Taylor Swift. Campers will be singing every day, deconstructing songs, and discussing topics such as "what makes a song catchy?" and "why does this song sound just like another song?" No prior music instruction is required, but if you play an instrument, bring it along!

  • 6/24 - 6/28: MUSICAL THEATER (FULL DAY)
    If you've always wanted to dig into your favorite musical theater melodies, this camp is for you! Throughout the week, campers will explore classic musicals such as Annie, Oliver Twist, and You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, as well as modern favorites such as The Greatest Showman, Matilda, and Wicked! Get ready to act, dance, and sing every day! No prior music instruction is required.

  • 7/8 - 7/12: CHOIR (PM)
    Express yourself through song all week in choir camp! Grow closer to your friends (or meet some new ones!) all week while singing your heart out. Throughout the week, you'll learn about important choral forms such as singing in rounds, and techniques such as singing in two part harmony, and to an accompaniment. You'll play music games, try new instruments to accompany your singing, and maybe even write your own song! No prior music instruction is required.
